The Museum of North Idaho (MONI) offers a dynamic array of exhibits that delve into the region's rich history and culture. Currently featured is 'Going to the Movies,' a photographic journey through Coeur d'Alene's early movie theaters, available until October 28th. The museum houses seven permanent exhibits, including explorations of the Coeur d'Alene Indians, fur trade, and the iconic steamboats of Lake Coeur d'Alene. Looking ahead, 'Hydromania,' an exhibit on hydroplane races, is set to open in Spring 2025. As MONI prepares to relocate to a new facility near McEuen Park, plans are underway to introduce immersive and interactive displays that will enhance visitor engagement with the region's aquatic systems and historical narratives. The museum continues to seek support for this expansion, offering various donation and sponsorship opportunities.
